Douglas Fir (Columbian Pine)

Originates from Canada and is home grown in Scotland. It is orange in colour, durable, very strong for its weight, and also the strongest softwood we stock. It's grain is typically straight and plane but occasionally comes with a curly grain. If machines well and accepts stains, glue and finishes well.
